Water Quality & Safety
Updated
Is WaterLink's tanker water safe to drink?
WaterLink's tanker carries sweet water only and is filled at an approved filling station, as Dubai Municipality's guideline for unbottled drinking water requires. It is never used for salt or waste water. Any customer can ask for a photo of the filling receipt for their load.
Where the water comes from
We fill only at approved sweet water filling stations in Dubai. We'll name the station here once operations begin. Ask for a photo of the filling receipt for your load — we'll send it on WhatsApp.
What Dubai Municipality requires
Dubai Municipality's Technical Guidelines for Quality of Unbottled Drinking Water (DM-HSD-GU17-DW2, 2024) set out rules for sweet water tankers. Among them:
- A sweet water tanker must not be used for any other purpose.
- It must be filled only at approved filling stations.
- It must be clearly marked in Arabic and English.
That's why we never carry salt water in our truck. Salt (non-potable) water orders go to separate partner tankers.
Tanker hygiene
We will publish our tank cleaning routine here before we start deliveries. We only state what we actually do.
What to ask any tanker supplier
- Is this tanker used only for sweet water?
- Where was it filled today? Can I see the receipt?
- Is the tanker clearly marked in Arabic and English?
- Whose company operates it, and will I get an invoice?
Certificates
We don't display certificates or approvals we don't hold. When we have documents to show, they'll appear here.
